Jeremy Fritz
I am Part-Time Field Staff with Central Kansas Cru. I have been on staff since the fall of 2020, working primarily at K-State.
I’ve been in the Manhattan area my entire life. I was born in Manhattan and lived in Wamego until college. I spent one year at Manhattan Christian College and then transferred to K-State to study Personal Financial Planning. Currently, along with working for Cru, I am pursuing my M. Div at Covenant Theological Seminary and am in the Church Planting Track there. I’m also the Pastoral Intern here at MPC!
I began to sense a call to ministry late in high school as I began to truly understand the Gospel in its fullness. One significant event that taught this to me was my mother’s 2017 diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia. That diagnosis forced me to wrestle with the character of God and the nature of hope. After wrestling through that, I came out with confidence that Jesus’ death and resurrection were the only way that I can have a living and true hope in this life and the one after. This is a hope that holds fast even through my sin, broken circumstances, hardships, and suffering. It is a hope for an “inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you” as 1 Peter 1:4 says. This confidence led to a passion to help students comprehend the fullness and beauty of this truth. And it turns out that Cru was a great way to do that.
When I got to college, I started going to Cru because Bailey went to Cru, and fell in love with the vision of Win, Build, and Send. So, after being a student leader for a year, I applied to join staff part-time. In my time with Cru, it has been a blessing to see the Lord work in the lives of students, growing them in their knowledge of His love for them, lifting their eyes to see that their lives ought to be lives in service of God and others, and watching them graduate and continue to follow Jesus. We hope to form students into lifelong Christ-Centered laborers and send them to be faithful church members and leaders, better enabling the Church to witness to the Good News.

Zach Breshears
My name is Zach Breshears, I am a Senior Staff Member of Cru Campus Ministry (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) here in Central Kansas!
I was born in Wichita, Kansas where I grew up on the outskirts of Church, never truly belonging to a community of faith until late high school. After I was saved my Senior year, I felt a call to potentially go into full-time ministry. After this was confirmed by prayer, trusted friends, and mentors, I attended Manhattan Christian College here in town. I got my bachelors in Christian Ministry, with minors in Counseling and Pastoral Ministry. My undergrad experience was hard to say the least. I deeply wrestled with my young faith in a new city. Yet, out of this experience of doubt and suffering, God brought a great friend (who happened to be my roomate), and one of the most influential mentors of my life. Both happened to also work for Cru! They loved me well and lifted my eyes that other college students also experience this every day. They also showed me a vision of what it would look like to strategically reach college students. After graduation, I was struck by Cru’s vision for a ministry of multiplication: Students intentionally discipling other students, who disciple other students, and so on. My mentor asked if I would join staff with Cru, and through prayer decided this was where God had us!
I am still with Cru to this day! I am currently working at Kansas State and throughout Central Kansas, particularly at Wichita State. I am working on a Masters of Divinity degree from Covenant Theological Seminary and am Under-Care of the Heartland Presbytery. My wife and I have been members at Manhattan Presbyterian for the last three years.
Our vision is to live out the Great Commission for the glory of God by prayerfully loving and shepherding a community of students in Central Kansas to be life-long disciple-making evangelists who can guide others to do the same.
I would love to have you partner with our family on this mission, feel free to reach out! (316) 680-8672"

Kathleen McAlister (Ireland)
Raised in Glasco, Kansas, Kathleen McAlister began exploring global missions during her time as a student at Grove City College. Following a summer internship with Serge—a global missions sending organization—in Ireland, Kathleen decided to return for a longer stint after graduation. From 2019 to 2021, she lived and served the Irish evangelical church in Dublin, Ireland as an Apprentice on a Serge team. Partnering with the local Irish church, Kathleen discovered a passion for discipleship after seeing the Lord work in her own heart through mentoring, as well as the joy she experienced walking alongside other young women and youth as they came to know and delight in Christ. As she reached the end of her term, Kathleen felt called to pursue returning to the Irish field, specifically the city she had come to know and love so well. God has graciously opened doors to allow Kathleen to return to Dublin, joining the Serge Leinster team long-term, which she hopes to do in early 2023.
The vision of Serge in Ireland is to see a distinctly Irish church centered on the gospel grow and flourish through gospel renewal in historic churches and the planting of new churches throughout the island. Serge’s part in this is to come alongside Irish church leaders in a facilitative role. Kathleen’s role within this whole-island vision will be to push deeper into her partner church and Dublin community, pursuing evangelistic and discipling relationships within and outside of the church, while supporting the kingdom work already going on in Ireland through presence, prayer, practical help, relationship, and encouragement.
